Hannah--2 weeks out

It's been 2 weeks now since Hannah's surgery. I took her to the plastic surgeon's office last week and he said her oral cavity still was not completely healed, so she had to stay on a liquid diet. I go back on Tuesday, 7 October to check with him again. We have some minor concerns, as we're still seeing some milk dripping from her nose when we feed her. She had a pretty bad reaction to mosquito bites this weekend and her eye was once again swollen completely shut. In addition, she had some sort of allergic reaction covering her chest and stomach--not sure what to. We gave her some Benadryl tonight and she was as perky as ever! I'm quite thankful that the same topical medicine we use for Christian's crazy mosquito bite reactions works on Hannah, as well. So, there is some additional benefit for taking him to the emergency room all those times for that! Now we can skip the ER trips and just apply the correct medicine--hooray!

Great soccer games again this weekend--Christian scored another awesome goal. My boy is getting quite a lot better with his footwork and we're proud of him. They won their first game of this season! Faith's team won as well, and she played beautifully. She goes after the ball so much better than last season. I can tell she's been playing against Christian when she goes head to head with another boy. There's really not much fear or backing off, just because they might be a bit rougher. No doubt she's had to learn to be tough! That's my girl!

We had a blast at the Parks and Wildlife Expo today. We shot bows and arrows and shotguns (Christian has wanted to do this forever and there were no animals involved so we thought this was his perfect opportunity), saw a Sea World demonstration with lots of cool animals, checked out green building and fishing, and went kayaking. ALL the kids were asleep within about 3 minutes of getting back in the car on the way home.

I'll post some pictures on my next blog post to make sure I don't have any weird mishaps with the computer.
