Christmas 2010

Here are a few random pictures from the Christmas celebration at our house. Reflecting back, I can see clearly how my blessings are overflowing. I could go on and on, but to have a family that loves you unconditionally is one of the greatest blessings.

Hannah went for her annual cleft palate team visit and saw five different specialists that are part of the team. The plastic surgeon will want to do more work on her nose and fix the remaining hole in her palate, but he'll wait a year before looking seriously into that. We were finally able to see the "fancy" ear doctor and he took out a ton of junk from her ears (three people holding her down--my muscles were almost at muscular failure after that one). The folks at his office were then able to perform more sophisticated hearing tests than we've had before. She's older now, so able to sit for a test that previously would've required sedation. It was recommended that she wear her left hearing aid only since her right ear is testing normal. She'll have another tube put in her left ear, which still has significant fluid issues, and then we'll see about that ear. Maybe we can put hearing aids behind us-- we'll have to wait and see! She's gone through all of her cognitive testing with the local school psychologist and we're waiting on the results of that.

Great stuff Nancy. We can't stop laughing at the one of Brian (complete with beret) and Hannah performing. Awesome videos as well. Glad to see the drum getting banged on.

Love you guys.

I loved remembering all of the Christmas fun and hearing about Hannah. Glad to see she and her friend both enjoyed performing. Mom/Gammy
