Blocks, and Scooters, and Skateboards, oh my!

The kids wanted to share with you the terrific block cities they worked on lately. They've had a bit more time free in the last week or so as our school year winds down. We're on our last week this week for the current school year. Faith has already begun her Latin for next year--she begged and begged until we gave in and let her start. She loves it and always does a bit more than asked. Christian has been doing a phenomenal amount of math every day to finish up one curriculum and be able to take a break before starting the next. Brian found out he would be starting some schoolwork in September when he turns 4 and he felt the need to sit at the table with us, asking what his work would be. Michael gave him the task of drawing a castle for that day. It was quite spectacular considering what his drawings have looked like up to this point.
We were blessed to have Michael's folks come for a visit last week. The kids got in all kinds of good grandparent playing time.
Speaking of playing, I taught Christian how to play double solitaire recently, so we've been getting in some good games. He's a natural!! We had a game marathon tonight with that and Chinese checkers.

Forgot to tell you four what great cities you built with the blocks--now you have a giant selection of blocks for skyscrapers and everything. Gammy
