 A great time in Rome for our first full day!  We took in the Castel St Angelo (which started out as Emperor Hadrian's mausoleum and later became the papal residence and a fortress), went walking along the Tiber River (saw some great sites--more on that later), and took a great guided nighttime tour of buildings and fountains by an newly-minted American PhD in church history.  Lovely time--we'll write more later.
