Strawberry picking

The plants in the front of our house had such pretty white blooms on them in the past couple of weeks. It's so nice to see everything greening up! We love, love, love springtime! Even our trees are starting to grow a bit. One of them was run over by a running child and had a bit of a setback--the main trunk was broken off, but amazingly a smaller side branch survived. It seems to be doing fine.

We went strawberry picking with Faith's Sunday School class last Saturday at a place about an hour from here. We picked more than $25 worth of strawberries and they were gone in 3 days! :) My crew can really put away some strawberries! The place also had homemade strawberry ice cream, which was awesome (though not as awesome as our recipe with Big Red). After picking, we headed over to a playground to have a picnic lunch.

Christian and Faith start their standardized testing today. It's 4 hours today and tomorrow. They're pretty excited about doing it--I haven't done any special preparations, but they know they gets snacks, so it must be cool!
