Dallas Museum of Art
After the science demonstration day, we spent the weekend in Dallas, visiting Grandpa and Grandma (or Grandpa and Grandpa as Brian would say it--he's actually calling all grandparents Grandpa for now :)). We spent an awesome day at the Dallas Museum of Art. There were so many highlights, but Christian's favorite part was the University of Texas at Dallas chess team. They were there for a special event and had tables set up for folks to come and play them. Christian played several games and learned quite a lot in the process--he even talked Michael into playing a game. There was a great children's area where the kids could build all sorts of things and work on art on the computer as well. Faith's favorite part was when she and I made fans together. That night, Michael, Grandma, and I took Faith and Christian out for a scooter ride and Michael was racing Christian on the scooter (with the stroller!). Somehow there was a collision and Christian ended up on the ground with a bloody elbow and Brian was lying back in the stroller with the handles on the ground. He was just looking around, admiring his different view of things while Christian was freaking out at the sight of a couple of drops of blood! No one was seriously injured and Michael was prohibited from racing with the stroller any longer. :)

Hey I love the chess exhibit the best as well. I wonder if Christian found this as stimulating as the Lego Chess. The guys don't look nearly as enthused as the king in the video game.
